Music is the universal language.. and anyone, no matter what country they are from, ‘understands’ instrumental music. It’s a sensation, a feeling from within. We are all interconnected as one heart, one soul, and one man.” Charlie Wood

Charlie truly lived a life of music, connection, unity, and love. There’s not a song that he wrote or played that his heart did not touch. Charlie did not seek fame or fortune and he always said, “Success is relative… if you can make a living doing what you love, then that is success—not your name in lights and all that glamour.” G-d, our Creator, gave him the gift of music and ability to play multiple instruments, but his main love is and always will be his guitar. His playing and songwriting abilities garnered him recognition through various agencies and organizations, such as SA Current Lead Guitar player of the year for 2 years in a row, Bulverde Chamber of Commerce for his community work through teaching music and helping with local events, for his work as a Music Director for Bulverde Stage Theater in the production of “Johnny Cash,” for the largest sell-out in the history of the theater. Also, Charlie received prestigious recognition by his music peers - Texas Music Association for “deep commitment to his music and for sharing his remarkable talent with the SA/TMA showcase,” nomination considerations by the Grammy’s for two of his CDs and was the winner of two Global Music Awards in 2015 & 2016. Charlie’s music has been described as “Rare and pure of heart.” He wrote, performed, recorded, keeping true to his oft quoted motto: “Life Is But A Groove.” One of his main passions was giving back to the community by teaching hundreds of students to play guitar, bass, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, and even high school band members who played baritone or tuba. He is the epitome of giving, practicing “Love covers all transgressions.” Currently, there are projects underway for keeping Charlie’s heartfelt music alive. In keeping with his sharing spirit of warmth, joy, peace and tranquility, we will be releasing a spiritual compilation he completed in 2016, but never released. It is quite evident to us that Charlie ’s music comes from his heart and we know for certain, when you hear his music, he will captivate yours. ENJOY! (Nothing would please Charlie more!)
